Superior Stain Solutions did a fabulous job including pressure washing our 2 covered porches days before applying the stain several days later. They completed both porches in one day that included removing the gutters in the process. I love the color I selected as shown with the before and after photos. I highly recommend them if you have a fence, deck or a porch project needing professionals!

How a fence gets stained here
Wash it if it needs it. Check the moisture. Then stain.
Most fence stain jobs fail on prep, not on the stain. We wash if the wood needs it, check moisture, then stain. That is the work people skip when they do it themselves.
- 01
We look at the wood
We walk the fence, measure it, and check moisture. Oil-based stain needs wood under 13% moisture, so we tell you if it needs to dry first.
- 02
We wash it if it needs it
Grey, dirty, or moldy wood gets washed and dries before stain. Stain over dirt does not last, so we do not skip this step.
- 03
We stain it evenly
Penetrating stain, sprayed and back-brushed for even coverage with no drips or missed spots. The color you picked, the whole fence.

Why the meter matters
Oil, not film
We stain with penetrating oil from Expert Stain and Seal and Sherwin-Williams. It soaks into the grain and weathers slowly instead of peeling in sheets. Oil wants dry wood, under 13% moisture, so we check with a meter at the estimate. If the boards read wet, we wait, and the quote does not change.
About fence stainingColors
Light, warm, dark, or grey. You pick next to your own wood.
Every photo below is a real fence we stained, not a chip from a catalog. We bring stained wood samples to the estimate and hold them against your boards so you see the color next to your wood, in your light.

You pick the color next to your own boards.
We do not hand you a chart and walk away. At the estimate we hold real stained wood samples against your fence or deck so you see the color next to your wood, in your light. Transparent, semi-transparent, semi-solid, or solid. Light, warm, dark, or grey. Pick what you like and we match it.

Adrian, Preston, and the team had by far exceeding my expectation. My wooden deck and stair need restoration and stain. It was definitely the right decision to hired this team. The quote was very fast, detail, and professional. Communication was the best I have ever experienced. Will definitely hire Superior Stain Solutions again for any future painting or staining project.
Great work, constant communication throughout the whole project. Have also heard great things from other clients they have done work for. Punctual, fair, responsive, honest. Will use again!
Adrian and Preston did a great job. I usually do my own painting because it is difficult to find painters that can paint to my standards. I was in a time crunch and needed help preparing my father-in-law’s house to sale. So happy I chose Superior Stain Solutions.
Adrian did an excellent job painting the inside of my condo. They painted all of the walls, ceilings, and trim. I wanted to add some color in the dining room, so they referred a local mural artist. They were polite, showed up on time, and worked efficiently. I definitely recommend them!
Superior Stain Solutions is a fantastic company that keeps their word and did an amazing job staining our wooden fence. An exceptional company that could not have pleased us more. Highly recommended!
Adrian was super responsive, sent the quote fast, and Mike’s staining work looked amazing. Excellent prices and easy to work with!
Superior Stain Solutions did a fantastic job staining my fence out by Greenville SC. Adrian was on time and reliable. I would highly recommend them for any staining or painting projects.
We got our fence and deck stained. They were able to do it in one day. Adrian was able to give us a great affordable quote. The stain looks great! Highly recommend them.
Adrian visited our property several times before staining our new privacy fence, making sure the moisture content was appropriate for staining. He provided us with a professional assessment and quote.
Who you are hiring
A Duncan staining crew since 2017.
In 2017 Adrian started staining fences for a local fence and deck builder in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. Word of mouth kept the work coming. When that company closed, he launched Superior Stain Solutions in 2022. He still runs it from Duncan. Preston Jones manages projects and has been painting since 2006.
