Wash and revive aged wood, including pergolas, play sets, and railings. We bring stained wood samples so you can match an existing color or pick a new one against your own boards. Straight talk on the 2 to 6 year re-stain cycle. We use Expert Stain and Seal and Sherwin-Williams penetrating oil products because they hold up in this climate.
Bare wood turns grey in one Greenville summer. A soft wash takes the grey and mildew off, the wood dries back below 13% moisture, and a penetrating stain brings the color back. Pergolas, play sets, and railings get the same treatment as a fence. We tell you up front if boards are too far gone to save.

Superior Stain Solutions did a fabulous job including pressure washing our 2 covered porches days before applying the stain several days later. They completed both porches in one day that included removing the gutters in the process. I love the color I selected as shown with the before and after photos. Usually every 2 to 6 years depending on the stain, its opacity, the sun, and whether anyone maintains it. Around Greenville, Spartanburg, Greer, and Duncan we often see 3 to 4 years on fences. Decks can need attention sooner.
If it has started to grey, weather, or mold, yes. We soft-wash aged wood before stain so the finish lasts. The wash is in the quote, not sprung on you later.
For most wood fences here, oil-based stain is the better call. It soaks in instead of sitting as a film, so it is less likely to peel and crack in our sun and humidity.
