"For me, it all started in 2017 when I stained my own fence. Before I knew it, neighbors were asking who did the job. Word got around, and I ended up staining fences all over the area, building a solid rep for top-notch work right here in Duncan, SC.
Soon after, I was noticed by a local fence and deck building company and was offered a position in the Greenville-Spartanburg area to stain their projects. I jumped on the opportunity... but a couple of years later, the owner moved away and closed his business.
I was out of work!
That's when I figured, why not start my own thing? Since then, I've grown my business and expanded to include not just fence and deck staining but also interior and exterior painting.

"I started learning to paint houses back in 2006, helping my father when he got really busy. After a few years had gone by, I had improved drastically on my brushwork capabilities, as well as my drywall finishing and staining. I also learned the basics of home improvement from basements to roofs and everything in between.

Fast forward to 2020, I wasn't sure what to do for work after the shutdown, so I reached out to some colleagues and was hired to install fire suppression systems. With the knowledge and confidence gained there, I left and joined a remodel crew as the drywall/painter & plumber they needed. I continued that until Hurricane Helene devastated the Upstate, at which time I decided to move down to help my Uncle with his fence company in Spartanburg, SC.

Through helping him with fence installation, I met Adrian, who was interested in splitting the management tasks to improve customer service. Now my main focus is helping clients at Superior Stain Solutions, but also helping with small renovations/projects when I can."

Company Policies
Customer Responsibilities:
The customer agrees to provide a safe and secure working environment for Superior Stain Solutions' employees.
This includes:

Ensuring pets and children are kept away from the work area.

Providing access to electricity and water for the project.

Informing Superior Stain Solutions of any known hazards or concerns related to the work site.

Removing any property directly obstructing the fence.
Insurance Policy:
Superior Stain Solutions carries liability insurance to cover potential damages or injuries that may occur during the project. Upon request, Superior Stain Solutions will provide the customer with a certificate of insurance.
Touch-Up and Repair Policy:

Notification Period: The customer must notify Superior Stain Solutions of any touch-ups needed within 7 days from the date of project completion.

Reasonable Touch-Ups: Superior Stain Solutions will perform touch-ups within reason, which includes correcting any missed areas, inconsistencies in staining, or other minor issues related to the initial project scope. Superior Stain Solutions reserves the right to determine what constitutes a reasonable touch-up.

Forfeiture of Rights: If the customer does not notify Superior Stain Solutions within the specified 7-day period, they may forgo the right to request touch-ups, and any further adjustments could be subject to additional charges.

Exclusions: This touch-up policy does not cover issues arising from misuse, alterations, or damage caused by the customer or third parties after the project's completion.
Site Cleanliness and Protection
Superior Stain Solutions will take all reasonable precautions to protect the customer's property during the project. However, the customer is responsible for removing or protecting any personal items, landscaping, or other property that could be affected by the work. Superior Stain Solutions is not liable for damage to items that were not properly removed or protected.
Warranty and Limitations
Superior Stain Solutions provides a limited warranty on its workmanship for 12 months from the date of project completion. The warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents.

Issues arising from improper maintenance or cleaning by the customer.

Changes in wood appearance due to weathering, moisture, or other environmental factors.

Any warranty claims must be made in writing within the warranty period. Superior Stain Solutions will inspect the claimed defect and, if covered, will repair or replace the defective work at no additional cost to the customer.

A: Generally, yes. Our fence staining estimator tool uses the same equations we use during our in-person fence staining estimates to provide you with an accurate price. It even includes the price for a fence wash if your fence is aged or greyed. Here are a few reasons why the online fence estimate tool might not provide an accurate price: a different brand of stain, no access to electricity (~$100 generator fee), no access to water during a fence wash, special requirements and requests, and location. Q: What does the wood staining process look like?
A: First, we provide you with a free estimate and consultation to answer any questions you might have and ensure we understand your needs. Then, we schedule a project date—and we hope the weather doesn't delay it! The process is straightforward and seamless.

Q: How long does the staining process take?
A: Typically, 1-3 days, depending on the size of your project. One-day staining projects include but are not limited to: standard fences less than 400 ln ft, small decks, and small pergolas.

Q: What does your payment structure look like?
A: At least one week before your project date, we request a deposit of non-refundable materials. Once the project is completed, and you're satisfied with the work, we charge you the remaining balance left on the invoice.

A: Unfortunately there is no correct answer to how long you should wait before staining your fence or deck. The amount of time you should wait is dependent on the humidity level of the wood. During all of our estimates, we check your fence or deck with a moisture meter and give you a more accurate time estimate. With oil-based stains, anything below 13% is acceptable.

A: Unfortunately there is no straight answer to this question. It can entirely vary anywhere between 2-6 years depending on the brand of stain, if it's more transparent or solid, and many other factors. Contact us to ask about your fence or deck.
